Robert Burns Dinner

The first event of the year for the Caledonian Society of Alabama is the Robert Burns Dinner, celebrating the birth of Scotland's most well-known poet. The dinner is held every year at the Wald Park Clubhouse on Montgomery Highway (HWY 31) in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, including entertainment provided by the Heritage Pipes and Drums, piping in of the colors, a toast to the haggis, and a raffle.

Spring Picnic

The Caledonian Society of Alabama usually holds its Spring Picnic around the first week in May. This pot-luck picnic is open to all members and visitors and is held at "Loch Douglas" at the home of Tad and Herbert Douglas in Hoover, Alabama. Entertainment is provided by the Heritage Pipes and Drums.

Fall Festival

The Caledonian Society of Alabama usually holds its Fall Festival in the first  week of September. Like the Spring Picnic, this pot-luck event is open to all members and visitors and is held at the Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. Entertainment is provided by the Heritage Pipes and Drums.

St. Andrew's Banquet

The final event of the year for the Caledonian Society of Alabama is the St. Andrew's Banquet, in celebration of the patron saint of Scotland. The banquet is held every year at the Heatherwood Golf Club Clubhouse in Shelby County, Alabama. Entertainment is provided by the Heritage Pipes and Drums where they pipe in the colors, toast the haggis, and perform a small concert.
